#AccelerateAction
Yamaha Motor Australia extends warm wishes to all women on International Women’s Day. Celebrated annually on 8 March, this global event acknowledges the diverse achievements of women in the social, business, cultural, sporting, and political spheres.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is #AccelerateAction. The theme is a powerful call to move beyond awareness and commitment toward urgent, tangible, and impactful change in the pursuit of gender equality
While every day offers an opportunity to honour and celebrate the women in our lives, personally and professionally, International Women’s Day holds special significance in collectively recognising their contributions. For the Yamaha Motor Australia group, this day is an occasion to applaud the success and impact of women integral to the Yamaha brand. This encompasses members of management and staff, Yamaha racers and ambassadors, and female customers who embrace our products and the Kando they deliver.
This year, a significant number of female employees at Yamaha Motor Australia celebrated major milestones at the annual Service Awards presentation, which recognises employees for their dedicated service to the Yamaha Motor Australia group. Awarded in five-year increments, members of the Yamaha Motor Australia Group female workforce were represented and celebrated in almost all categories, from five years upwards, including the prestigious 25- and 35-year categories. These accomplishments reflect a strong commitment and passion for the Yamaha family.
Yamaha Motor Australia Group Managing Director, Mr Darryl Lovegrove, highlighted the valuable contribution made by female Yamaha staff to the brand’s continued success. “At Yamaha Motor Australia and Yamaha Motor New Zealand, we are proud to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions of the women who are an integral part of our success.” Mr Lovegrove said. “Their dedication, expertise, and passion help drive our company forward, and their achievements inspire us all. The Yamaha Motor Australia group is proud to support the 2025 IWD theme Accelerate Action. Progress toward gender equality requires not just commitment, but real momentum. We are dedicated to driving change by fostering an inclusive workplace, empowering women in the industry, and ensuring that every opportunity is within reach. Together, we can accelerate toward a future where diversity fuels innovation and success."
